Our offer:
Hyperhidrosis treatment

Perspiration is a very useful bodily function because it protects the body from overheating. However, if sweating on the palms and soles of the feet or in the armpits becomes excessive and leads to pathological sweating , the condition can be very disruptive both privately and professionally, especially for those who have contact with customers or patients. Various surgical and non-surgical treatment options – including the elimination of sweat glands using heat (miraDry) – can stop the sweating.

Causes of hyperhidrosis

The reasons for overactive sweat glands are varied. A hyperreactive parasympathetic nervous system can be the trigger, as can, for example, a metabolic disorder. In hyperhidrosis, wet, often cool areas develop on the palms of the hands, which those affected find very unpleasant.

In addition to the symptoms, excessive sweating under the arms can lead to unpleasant odors and discoloration of clothing. Often the signs are unmistakable, causing further distress for affected women and men. excessive sweating not only burdens patients physically, but usually also psychologically. They avoid contact with others and isolate themselves. However, a cure is possible.

Treatment options for excessive sweating

We offer you three treatment options:

1. Therapy with botulinum toxin injections (Botox® injections),

2. the miraDry treatment, in which the sweat glands are eliminated long-term using heat,

3. a surgical procedure.

Botox® – noticeable results in treating hyperhidrosis

In hyperhidrosis treatment using Botox®, nerve impulses to the sweat glands are blocked, thus preventing excessive sweating. The effect lasts approximately six to twelve months, depending on the dosage. After this time, a new treatment is required.

miraDry

®

– permanent solution for underarm sweating

One treatment option with lasting success is the use of miraDry® . The miraDry® system uses thermal energy to target and painlessly eliminate sweat and odor glands in the armpits . At the same time, the hair follicles are also destroyed. Once the glands are eliminated, neither they nor the underarm hair will grow back. A single outpatient session lasting 60-90 minutes is usually sufficient to permanently stop sweating in the armpits.

Sweat gland surgery – never sweat again

Another option is sweat gland surgery . For this, we use various gentle gluteal area resection techniques. We suction out the defective sweat glands using special cannulas. The relief from excessive sweating is long-lasting. In cooperation with the Wolfenbüttel Municipal Hospital, we guarantee you professional medical treatment and aftercare.
